Dear Friend
I was just thinking about what it means to just go an do it, fortune
favours the brave and all that kind of stuff.
Recently
as you will all know I've moved gyms (the place is great by the way,
first week there I met Lennox Lewis and Micheal Watson, check pics
here) but most of you won't know I moved home as well. Now I'm
always telling my clients 'Don't think about it, just do it' (sorry
Nike's lawyers) and 'there's no excuses, there's always time' but these
last few weeks I experienced the other side of the coin. I was running
around organising things and basically moving my entire life from 1
place to another, I just couldn't find the time to train! I started to
think about all the times I had lambasted people for coming up with
excuses to remain as immobile as Michelle McManus and now I was no
different... what a hypocrite!
But the most important
thing I realised in the end (here comes the lesson) when I finally got
my training back on track is, sometimes there may be things that get in
the way of you and your targets but none of them last forever, 'After
every dark night there's a bright day' I think the old African proverb
goes. There is truly no long term excuse for letting yourself dwindle
'you're worth it' (sorry loreal).
So Nike are right
'just do it' don't think about it because all you'll come up with is
another excuse.
Yours
in training Ross Adkin

Recipe of the week
The humble omlette
Ingredients:
- 3
large eggs (yolks as well)
- Half a red onion
Directions:
A
great meal when you're following a no carb plan, full of protein and
healthy fats (forget the old dated ideas that say the yolk is bad). Heat
a non stick pan and when it's hot and the mixed ingredients. I like to
keep my omelette whole and only turn it once. Serve with salt and pepper
to taste. There you go no carb breakfast sorted in less than 15
minutes.
Enjoy
