All you need is a small book and a few minutes per day, don’t wait until the end of the day to write things down, write as you go. This tactic helps to keep you on course during the day as you you wont want to ruin the good work that you’ve done earlier in the day when making food choices.
If you work in an office, then keep it in your desk draw or if not just keep it in your bag. Also use your food diary to write down exactly how you feel, this will help you to gain a better understanding of the effects that food has on you and as they say knowledge is power!
But the best thing about a food diary is there is no hiding any of the bad food that you eat, for example so many people have a square of chocolate here or a can of coke there, which they conveniently forgot about at the end of the day. With a food diary these little slip ups will be there in front of you where you can confront them and deal with them.
